I live in the Denver area and recently consumed Aspartame unsuspectingly. Not knowing why I kept having strange headaches all week, along with feeling being “out of it,” I read the back of the package of Alka-Seltzer Cold Medicine that I had been taking. Guess what!? Yes, there was Aspartame listed as an ingredient. I stopped taking it, and the next day my headaches went away but my cold symptoms persisted as expected. I also went to the drug store to buy some Vitamin C, and all the chewable types had Aspartame listed as the sweetener.
I have no other food or drug allergies that I am aware of. However, I have been very sensitive to Aspartame from the 1st day it came on the market. It triggers nasty headaches for me and sometimes migraines.
The public is being deceived by companies who use Aspartame as a sweetener in their products and not providing clear labeling indicating such. Who has time to read the fine print listing ingredients on the back of every package?
