People have legitimate MS, and in this case Aspartame makes their problems worse. Methanol toxicity from Aspartame IS NOT MS it just mimics it because it destroys the nervous system.
I too have a definite diagnosis of MS but reading all the talk about equal sweetener led me to just try sugar instead. I felt better, more energy although I do still take my Symmetrel, still use my cane. I know that Equal did not “give me MS” but I do know that I feel as though a fog has been lifted from my thinking pattern. I go my mom and my sister to switch to sugar and they think they are better in general. My mom works for the student health department of FSU and she has gotten her colleagues to stay off Equal.
