A few years ago my uncle Ed had a mild heart attack. It scared him enough to change a life of alcohol over-use, and eating habits. He decided to drink Diet pop, heavy with NutraSweet. Within 3 months he started to have blurry vision. The doctors thought it might be related to his medication, and changed it. Later he developed double-vision. Another medication change. Finally, when he could almost not see at all, he self-diagnosed himself and quit the soda. Within a month, all vision returned. He told everyone about it at a family reunion and I’ve not touched a drop since.
