First, it’s my opinion that considering the FDA’s track record of late, that you not rely heavily upon their judgment, for now at least. I’m sure you read the same article many of us have that exists on the internet.
Anyway, I’ve been w/out any Aspartame or NutraSweet in my diet for a year now and I can tell you my life’s been a lot less complicated physically.
Each person reacts or doesn’t react differently to NutraSweet. For me, it was gastric upset after gastric upset. No dx of gastro paresis was made after expensive tests for it. Only until I cut out the Aspartame/ in my diet did my gastric problems go away. I also lost 7 pounds after discontinuing the “embalming” ingredient. My two sisters and my niece get severe headaches from ingesting it, so they avoid it like the plague, as well.
