I’m new to this so excuse me if I’m repeating earlier advice. I’m 36 and have experienced migraines for 10-12 years (I’m thinking I started getting them about the time NutraSweet was introduced heavily into the marketplace).
I get the aura before I experience the migraine (I’m learning this is a relatively uncommon experience for migraine sufferers). Anyway, good news for you women. When I was pregnant and/or breastfeeding, my migraines went down considerably.
However, when I weaned my daughter, they came back with a vengeance. So I finally decided to cut out chocolate and NutraSweet. Voila. Only 2 migraines in 3 months!!!!! PLEASE try this. I always thought my migraines were hormone induced (some of them are, I still believe). But now, I’m certain chocolate and/or NutraSweet are my triggers. AVOID THEM. Worked for me!
