Stacy (Feb 6, 2003): I know, for a fact that diet drinks and anything else, almost all chewing gum and candy (even the sugary kind, you have to read the labels) that contains Aspartame is so, so bad for you. I have been suffering from severe panic and anxiety, dizziness all from Aspartame. I recently began having severe night time panic attacks and traced them to a pack of sugarless chewing gum that I was chewing daily.
I traced the diet drinks to my anxiety earlier in 2002, but didn’t even consider all the other products. It’s been a week since I’ve chewed the gum and a rash that I’ve had for three months has cleared up and my anxiety is steadily improving. Also watch out for MSG. I get almost the exact same symptoms. If you think about it, it’s also a free form amino acid. Just thought this info might help someone. Also, if you’re taking any meds for your symptoms and they are not getting any better, suspect an allergy to one of the many toxic subs out there. I figured this out when my Xanax didn’t help my panic attacks at all. Thanks!
